Today we went to the Albuquerque Botanical Gardens to see all the Fall colors because where we live there are barely any trees to speak of
I love the gardens and in fact the kids prefer to go there than the zoo and they have left everything just go naturally into Fall...leaves everywhere, fall plants peeking out of the leftover summer ones I could have walked the park in relaxation all day
Aren't these the most lovely shades of yellow?
Waterfall at the large koi pond in the Japanese Garden
The River of Lights will be opening soon and they were putting them up all through the fall leaves and foliage...this is a new one and we can't wait to see it all it up!
Can you believe the purple on this bush?
They are planning a new bug exhibit at the gardens, one where the bugs will either be free roaming or behind panels and mesh to make them appear so...freaky but so so cool...and today we got to see a preview and amazingly G2 held all the bugs
a millipede (these live around our house)
A madagascar hissing cockroach..they are so cute when they hiss!
a vinegaroon...these also live around our house..ok I lied G2 did not hold this one
this we did not hold it was behind clear plexiglass and was a HUGE tarantula, I forgot which type but it was appx 8"--not as huge as the bird eating tarantula they have there OMG as my girls would say it was HUGE
Isn't this guy the cutest?
And we found some beautiful leaf veins
Climbing rocks...
no this is not photoshopped and yes the sky really is that blue
I did get some planning and sewing done but frankly the pics can not compete against a gorgeous fall day in Albuquerque

Hey there Tabi, I just ran into an old thread on SM that you posted to and wondered how you were doing - looks like great. The gardens are beautiful and the kids costumes were great :D
