Rain on the desert makes me sleepy....

...I sit here finishing some work, gaining inspiration, catching up on the days events and planning for tomorrow and all I can hear is the pitter patter of rain drops on my windows. I just Loooovvvveee it when it rains if anyone in Seattle wants to trade environments for a while I am willing I really miss rain but we get some gorgeous lightning storms to watch from afar I will have to see if my friend will share her lightning pic that she took from her balcony, just awesome amazing stuff.....

....I forgot to take pics of my very first sewing classes last week but I promise to get some of the next few...they are just soo much fun!

I did take some pics of our first Girls Astronomy Club though and what a nice bunch of girls they had a great time getting together and learning about stars and I can't wait to see them next month! Here are some of them playing Space Jingo and they had a blast working together I will take some pics of the constellation art they created also tomorrow.



You can try to scratch and sniff these next few pics (and boy do I wish you could smell these beauties) so just imagine yourself in my garden with your nose stuck deep into every rose color and inhale--go ahead I will bet you can smell them in memory I could sit all day and I will totally admit that I inhaled and I will continue to inhale every time I spot a rose-or even a flower for that matter.....my russian sage, butterfly bush/tree and maxmillian sunflowers are also starting to bloom and smell and I will get those scratch and sniff garden pics up soon

Do you see the color tinging?? I just love those subtle (and not so subtle) color shifts....






And check out who is out carousing around the neighborhood looking for a winter home to become a lovely sphinx or hawk moth next year....this guy was as long as the palm of my hand




So I am off to bed to listen to the rain--can't wait to show off all the sewing...
