The Old Cat has passed on....

Will continue the Creative Day counting tomorrow the last few days have been busy..

...the old cat has moved on from life this morning. We found that she has passed in her sleep in her own soft bed in her favorite position....would that we could all have such a peaceful death.

As we were talking & visiting after we found her this AM we heard this loud purring and as we were filling the grave together with our hands (my hub dug it deep because of the coyotes) we again heard the loud purring and while I thought I had heard something it was the girls that both asked me if I could hear her...strange and wonderful how life works huh!? The girls have mentioned that they can't wait to see her ghost/spirit in the house when they least expect it.

And of course the kittens were loveable all day trying to keep the girls from crying and making sure they were loved too!

Life is so beautiful and since we had prepared (as much as one can) for this with the girls it was hard today. We knew it was coming last night and the girls both got to sit with her and say good-bye which was lovely. Today when we saw she had gone the girls touched and talked to her again then we buried her in a fantastic sunny spot in the yard.

Here is a beautiful rose that bloomed in our fall garden-isn't it just stunning.





This is what she was doing just yesterday climbing, sleeping in the sun and rolling in the dirt (for hours) at over 100 cat years you pretty much get to do what you want when you want!


The girls found some beautiful flowers to cover her grave. If there can be a good grieving process this was one and I am grateful that we went through it together.
