Day 298: There is a lot I can not show you because they are behind the scenes stuff of the local haunted house, the
Dragons House of Horror, where I worked at helping to create their Silent Hill themed rooms and helped with costuming which was one of the top work experiences of my lifetime. Just being around all those werewolves, zombies, ghosts (real and actors), witches, clowns and creepy little girls was a adrenaline pumping daily rush. But these are some of the pieces I can share from the season... Elizabeth Swann from Pirates of the Caribbean At World's End Pirate Queen costume, Little Red Riding Wolf, Alyssa and Pyramid Head from Silent Hill and a prop for the local band the Mighty Beefcake in Chains....

The hat made from a scrap of the dress that was turned into a costume of Elizabeth as the Pirate Warrior Queen from Pirate of the Caribbean At World's End. |

Alyssa and Pyramid Head from Silent Hill via the Dragons House of Horror in Rio Rancho, NM. The mask was a labor of love completed in 3 days to look like rusted metal but shhh it's really cardboard and the skin skirt even feels like it is made of skin stitched together. This combo in the set with actresses playing the nurses as well were a huge hit and were neck and neck with Michael Meyers for the best scare in New Mexico! |
