Project use serger more Take 1 and I did it, I LOVE MY SERGER why oh why was I so scared of it for so long?
I mean I tried it before and tried and tried but I think I had heard about everyone else's frustrations so I was just refusing to use it even though I knew how--I justified that I could just use my regular machine stitches which I did
sooo I took out a really, really simple pattern the Mamu Designed Ulla and just winged it from there with this great monkey knit fabric-heck I am just proud I cut all the monkeys straight up lol that seems to happen to me right when I least expect it
G2 loves it and wanted it a little curvy/wavy around the neckline and the arms and I did really good adjusting it the way she wanted...no ironing, stray threads still hanging around she just wanted to put it on
Gonna go cut and make one for G1 tonight---Yea I forgot how quick it sews things up too...although I can not forget my love for hand sewing which is actually my first passion and part of the reason I am reluctant to use 'new technology' in case I suddenly hate doing things by hand but I think I can handle the balance!
I might even make one for myself this Ulla pattern goes up to adult sizes!
Now to name my serger and sewing machine think I'm gonna go with Abbott (sewing machine) and Costello (my lovable serger) but who's gonna be on first I ask? LOL LOL
