anonymous of course just a box sent without warning mostly because we have not spoken in some time but to me the boxes are sort of like she is speaking to me because she has sent me artwork from both herself and her father that she had stored and she knows that I will love and treasure all of it anyway moving on...
so this is the third such box, here is the post on the last box of artwork if you are interested
in this one she sent me gobs of hand drawn fashions from throughout history probably something she did in college (she went to Ohio State, go Buckeyes) so here are a few samples of those very interesting stuff and they are all dated with descriptions
I had a really hard time choosing which ones to show you they are all so fabulous to look at.
The rest of the box was full of miniatures back when I had a dollhouse she must have kept all the furniture--tiny plates, tiny forks, rocking chairs, tables--all of it was confiscated immediately by G2 who was last seen in her room doing a major 'set up' in her doll houses.
The only one I kept was this miniature sewing machine but I will probably let her play with it anyway when she asks lol...
And yes I cooked--no recipe as usual--broth, rice, pinto beans soaked for 3 days and black forest ham chunks--the only spices I used were salt, pepper and the rest of last year's green chiles...this was soooo good even the girls asked for seconds and then got excited when I said we were having leftovers the next day for lunch....now THAT is the mark of a good meal when the kids don't mind it in leftovers!
Only drawback was it smells awful cold before it is reheated...lol
Cooking is just so exhausting though, I would much rather just eat and let others cook, why have robotic cooks not been invented and marketed yet?
