Catching up from the past couple of days...here are some more sketches from the box that my mother sent there are so many I might try to get a few in here and there after I take pics of all of them
And also in the box was an old dirty well loved Cabbage Patch baby who G2 decided to bathe and it actually cleaned up quite nicely and well the floor of the bathroom was needing a good wet scrubbing
The part that she did not like is when her dad (the dad of 2 girls mind you) decided to hang the baby by it's neck in their bathroom so that it could dry....G2 was a little traumatized but G1 thought it was hilarious--in the end she did totally dry out!
G2 then raided my scrap bin and sewed a shirt for 'Katie' all on her own and put on some leiderhosen that my mom had also put in the box of found things
Then of course this little bear needed an outfit and again she hand sewed it together
The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta started last Saturday and they tend to land a lot in the field behind our house--they land there all year round but there are more during this time of year this one was on the ground one minute and in the air the next--scrub bushes are not exactly a great place to land in my opinion OUCH
So here are some of the 'Bluebirds of Happiness' that will go up on my Artfire this week--they are sewn onto antique quilt scraps--and these are completely made from scraps as are the other 20 or so I have waiting in the wings--get it? waiting in the wings oh hahahaha I crack myself up-yea I am overtired
And the monkeys that are all ready and parts stuffed -the parts were obtained from various monkey burial grounds they just need to be put together add some brains, a little electricity and voila instant monkeysteins muahahahahaha keep the pitchforks aways you will want these fellows as companions
The denizens of the Creative Lair upon their throne--Me thinks there must be a storm heading our way 'cause the kittens were snuggling with each other and all of us--Toph (in white) took a flying squirrel leap on top of Sokka when he was in full deep sleep but he sort of brushed it off and laid on top of her cause thats what big brothers do right? I swear that Toph is part Lemur sometimes the way she leaps and walks on her hind legs I will have to get video of her chasing and attacking G1 down a hallway it is like a daily ritual whenever she catches G1 in the hallway.
And that is all for now, long day today....so glad that I could finish some customer jobs yesterday and get them out of the Lair..back tomorrow in another beautiful day in the deserts of Albuquerque
