Day 103
...break out your copy of 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' cause it is time to start singing those carols...I love the music of this movie, probably nearly as much or more than I love the creatures and the storyline....so this is what I have been listening to to create....FINALLY I figure out what I really, really love to do a combination of favorite sewing loves....
Nearly done with lots of projects (I can't wait to show you the Toothless the Dragon dog costume oh so freakin' cute)
Almost ready for the unveiling of Halloween hand embroideries of my own designs...here are sneak peeks, you can see them in their entirety this weekend! All I can say is I worked on finalizing these at my daughter's swim practice and it was a bizarre feeling to be drawing and sketching these not so creepy creatures, have someone come look over my shoulder to check it out and go 'what are you.....oh, so you going to the meet next weekend?' lol lol they did not even want to know, great first impression eh?
Cute aren't they? Precious girls, sweet girls....
This will look better with red thread to define the blood spatter--see what studying to be a Forensic Anthropologist will get you....
and from Halloween to Saints...a good transition I'd say......I found this book on Embroidered Santos at our library, Saints that were common to the Southwest some from Spain and some blended and adapted to the region....this is the most wonderful book, truly beautiful....I can not find it anywhere online and am going to try contacting the guild but it does not look like it is still for sale. These will make some perfect holiday gifts, so yes alotta stitching going on lately
Ok thats all for now gotta go vacuum blue glitter out of my machine from the Dragon dog costume then hit the hay as I a TIRED....lots going on...what are you gonna create tomorrow?
