Day 118
Well let's see we forgot to decorate for Halloween so we made up for it by cramming it all in one fun filled day!
Passed on my recipe for Pumpkin seeds to the tweenager....yuuummmm
Passed on my annual pumpkin carving skills to the girls and my hub.....so of course being a guy he used a drill, yep a drill....whatever?! they had fun and that is the point lol I am just surprised he did not used any duct tape cause well he is a guy and duct tape works on everything..
No those are NOT tatoos on my tweenager's arm they are events from the Halloween swim meet she had that weekend....we write them on the kids' arms so they don't forget them
Little G's pumpkin was Chococat from Hello Kitty...I was pretty impressed with both the girls drawing and helping to scoop and cut their entire pumpkins themselves!
Then we went trick or treating, separately, we have gone separately for about 5 years now with the tweenager going with her friends and hub chaperoning and the Little G going with me and her BFF.... her BFF's mom was the Tyson lady from the Tyson chicken commercials...good likeness I'd say lol yea she's weird, she's my friend, so what if she cuts her hair and dresses like her Animal Crossing character subconsciously?!!
And here is how my friend's husband greeted trick or treaters for candy at the door...all I have to say is 'love the tats my friend, that totally makes the outfit lol'

Both patterns worked out pretty good, not many complaints except with the time constraints I was working in and the awful satin material I was working with for the fairy costume.
a goth fairy, without most of the goth....ok wait she was an evil fairy but well those cheeks are too cute to be evil so she did not really pull it off but she was CUTE....I used vintage lace bits for the top of the costume..
We shall not speak of what the Tweenager was, I have heard it over and over and over and over mindlessly, endlessly in her constant manga anime chatter...it was a YuGiOh character so let's just leave it at that
No the sleeves were not hemmed and the buttons were not added but I am going to do that tomorrow.....she did wear it to school and it fits her well...I am going to make more because they were so simple even with having to cut up the pattern pieces to get the stripe down the middle...
Hope your Halloween was good...now to go dig out the Christmas boxes before we forget to decorate for that holiday too....lol
