Lace posies and small towns

Day 122

I made a whole bunch of little lace posies out of the oodles of vintage lace I have sitting here but the littles are all white lace and I have decided to dye them because too much white for me so I will show those later but here is the one I did with the last little bit of already brown lace and a gorgeous sparkley button for the center. I like how they turned out but this particular lace made the flower big and I don't know if I can pull off wearing something this girly but I will see if I can make one that screams 'ME'

.....hmmmm these would look good as a boutonnière for a steampunk type or corsage thing eh? Yea I am thinking ahead as my tweenager is supposedly going to a dance with A BOY ARRRRGHHHHHH sometime in the Winter I am ignoring the date and pretending like it is not gonna happen AHEM anyway she wants me to make her a steampunkie style dress oh lord help me now from the perils of puberty. Anyone have any good suggestions for patterns?

houses, churches and a clock tower

a lot of fun to make, they will look great as an all year display and I might even get some more to do ones for each holiday....it really has been a fun project for the whole family!

I have more pictures later of the process before this but they are not on this computer so I will add them later! We used this as a fun project with another family-a kid/adult night of getting paint everywhere!

More sewing happening later, we are at a supposed to be half day now almost all day swim meet UGH.....so what are you creating today?
