Day 77

Completed a sketch yesterday for an entry into this contest by Clothworks using their Woodland riends II collection of fabrics. So I can't show you the entire thing but a blurry teeny piece but it is a fabric collage that I drew up.

Whether I win or not the challenge of drawing it out and estimating fabric was a good one--get the brain juices flowing and using that math stuff again. We only had 3 yds to work with and estimating how much for each fabric without having to do an entire mock-up (which I didn't) was hard...I am sure I over-estimated for some of these fabrics but I did not go over the 3yds!

Plus I got to use my spiffy coloured pencils -this link is not the same box I have because mine were bought a few years back but they have that cool triangle shape and those dots on them which I love for some reason and it makes them easier to grip. I am holding out for some of the bigger sets in the future, don't you love all the colors?! Their plain color pencils have so many colors I get dizzy just looking at them but oh lordy the prices--they are good though!

So anyway if I don't win I will create this project just to see what it looks like 'in real life' I will know something by mid-May if I get an email or not for the finalists!

Still I am going to buy another lotto ticket cause you never know right?! And I only buy them when I have 4 quarters in change exactly!
