Day 99
....just a beautiful kick off to the unofficial start of Fall activities for our family. Gorgeous New Mexico weather with bluer than blue skies, cute little clouds, not too hot, no blowing sand.
Tonight was the first music gig of the season so we all went to support G2. G1 even dressed up for the occasion-her own design of things found while thrifting and things she sewed herself :)and yes the blue bang hair things that hang down the sides of her face-don't worry the dye washed out tonight.
Then our little musician who is not so little any more with a double digit birthday coming up on Sunday EEEK. Her Girl Scout troop had to dress up from their favorite decade and yes apparently 80s is back in style as EVERYONE was wearing bits and bobs from then, even the troop leaders--I even spied lace socks and legwarmers-- but I draw the line at Hammer pants (THE HORROR)
a really simple redo...slice up the bits you do not want...tie a low knot on the shirt back(of the shirt material).....ribbon threaded through a simple hem at the neck.....doodad up the bottom with fringe...seriously like less than an hour from start to finish
And check this out...have not been this excited about a fabric line in some time now....squeee I just love IT and G1 of course wants those pants in that fabric, she can totally pull it off.
And now it is after 11PM and the family is building with LEGOs....ahhh a satisfying end to a wonderful day. What will you create this weekend?
