Day 216 Today is brought to you by the Mad Scientist of the week....the Muffin Man of nursery rhyme and then Shrek movie fame. He who created the Gingerbread man.....
Not the gumdrop buttons..... |
handsome fellow... |
Last weekend was my returning venture into holding craft classes. We started with making Gingerbread men for the upcoming holidays. Only ours were out of fabric, buttons, thread, eyelets and ribbon! And of course I bribed with homemade nutella and sugar topped doughnuts! YUM
Supplies at the ready. |
We took one pair of chocolate colored corduroy pants $1 from a local thriftique. |
I freehand drew out a Gingerbread paper pattern. Then cut all the seams and pockets out to end up with just the fabric parts of the pants. |
Poor little Gingerbread eaten by a fellow cannibal. |
I like his little evil eyebrows. |
I think the corduroy worked out really great. I thought we needed stabilizer on the back but it turns out they didn't need it after all. |
The stack is ready for new Gingerbread characters! We punched eyelets into the top so they can be hung up! |
