Day 199 I spent the afternoon having a date with hubby and this pizza joint we ate in was playing all 80s music~because of that it is one of my new favorite haunts~I get all woozy when I hear my favorite songs from the teen years. This is just a glimpse into one of the many crazy sketches I ended up with. It will be my
Taichi Tabananica cartoon on Friday. People were definitely looking at us weird as we through out ideas back and forth. Maybe one day strangers will love Taichi too, one day, some day lol for now it is a labor of love for me! I love stream of consciousness sketching....it was just pouring out of my pencil.

A part of an upcoming Taichi sketch. |
Because this was all I wanted to let you peek at from my sketchbook, without revealing too much upcoming work, I figured I would show you what my oldest daughter has been up too lately with her Chinese calligraphy set~you know the kind where you have to grind the ink and mix it with water. I am very proud of her because she entered a contest to get her art onto the tshirt or program for her swim team's upcoming holiday meet and these 2 wolf entries WON the contest (their logo is wolves/LOBOS) Her pictures will be on the front and back of the program, so awesome!

One of her WINNING entries for the back of the swim team's upcoming meet. |

Inspired by G2's Art of Okami book. One of her very favorite video games because of the artwork. I like this one a lot. |

A great tree done by a friend. I am thinking that random splotch on the top right looks like an ancient Chinese man ? |
|
The winning entry for the cover of the program for her swim team's upcoming meet. |
What will you create today?
